21 Designer Workspaces
Posted on by Jordan in Inspiration
Every designer is different, we all use different tools and applications, we all set about a new design in a different way and we all have our own unique style.
One big difference I find especially interesting however, is the design workspace a designer uses and works in everyday. This can include your companies workspace, your freelance office or even your bedroom where you do your clients work from everyday.
I contacted (and also Flickr’d) some of the best freelancers and designers around recently and asked for one thing, a picture of their workspace. Check the results out below.
1. Benjamin Tollady

2. Brian Kieffer

3. Jeff Lewis

4. Ross Lauderdale

5. Bill Keaggy

6. Fernando Lins

7. Tobias Mikkelsen

8. evildeggs

9. david martinez suarez

10. Ben Mautner

11. CleverSubtleties

12. Brian Biggs

13. Hawk Sugano
14. Christiaan Hemerik

15. Joe Futrelle

All of their studios are so neat and clean. Where are all of the design books and magazines/
How do they get any work done in such an organized environment
Just uploaded images of my studio:

Your studio has a lot of personality Daniel!
Mine is a little bare and generic at the moment, I’m moving house in the summer though so hopefully I can begin to create a workspace with my own personal touch!

The coolest workplace I appreciate most is Christiaan Hemerik’s. Clean and organized place and nice to work with.

The best one is ekalbs desk as its clutter free, however there are others too that are clutter free so they are good too, but that was my favourite because you have the view outside the window

Hi, Joe Futrelle here. Thanks! FYI, that’s not my workspace, it’s my wife Bethany Cooper’s. She’s a jewelry designer and I’m her photographer. bethanycooper.etsy.com.

You can really tell what a person does for a living by simply looking at his or her workplace, can’t you? At least, that holds true for web designers.
